As a scholarly institution founded and led by PhD-trained professionals, AMISUN is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic credibility, ethical governance, and transparency. All institutional verification documents are available for in-person review or by formal request. Prospective students and partners may confirm recognition directly with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

Current Standing

AMISUN currently operates under its faith-based authorization in Texas, offering Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs. This authorization affirms our legitimacy as a degree-granting institution of higher learning.

In alignment with our long-term strategic goals, AMISUN is actively pursuing:

  • Global Standards Alignment: Designed to meet international quality benchmarks in higher education.
  • International Student & Faculty Permissions: Actively seeking authorization from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to sponsor F-1 student visas and international faculty exchange programs.
  • Regional and Distance Accreditation: Active candidacy with U.S.-based accrediting associations.

The American Islamic University (AMISUN) is a legally recognized faith-based, non-profit institution of higher education authorized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to grant degrees in Islamic and related disciplines.
